About Us

Humanity United for Equity (HUE) is a nonprofit built on a simple truth: wellness is not just healthcare. It's having a safe place to sleep, a fair income, food on the table, quality education, and a community that actually shows up for you. These are the social determinants of health — the real-world conditions that shape every part of a person's life, from their mental health and physical well-being to their ability to build something better.

HUE was built by someone who lived it. Our founder knows what it means to navigate broken systems, to be turned away, and to still find a way through. That lived experience is not a backstory — it's the blueprint.

We don't just treat symptoms. We address the whole person — because you can't heal in a system that was never built for you. At HUE, people come first. When individuals are stable and supported, communities thrive.

How We Show Up

We meet people where they are — and we go as far as they need us to go.

That might look like therapy. It might look like helping someone write a resume, learn how to file their taxes, figure out how to change a diaper, or walk into a job interview knowing how to tie a tie. It might look like connecting someone to housing, healthcare, or a community that finally feels like home.

The Conditions That Shape Health
